W. Joshua Levering, "Josh" has been a commercial real estate broker and advisor for 25-plus years. Josh is most active in the Northern New Jersey, NY and the Tri-State region. Josh joined the NAI James E. Hanson team with the directive of adding depth to the firm’s leasing and investment activities in New Jersey and throughout the NAI international network (NAI Global). Responsibilities include managing and supervision of all office and sales functions for the Parsippany, NJ Office. Josh has consistently been recognized as a top producer and has an outstanding reputation for thoroughly understanding the many intricate facets of the industry.
Background & Experience
Josh began his career at Coldwell Banker Commercial ( now CBRE) and worked in both the Hackensack and Parsippany offices from 1980-1994. Thereafter, he was a Senior Managing Director of Newmark & Company Real Estate New Jersey (now Newmark Knight Frank) from 1994-2001. In these positions he served as advisor and negotiator for both local and national tenants, owners, developers and other entities requiring commercial real estate expertise. .Josh has mainly focused on the Office and Industrial product type. He is noted as an expert at both tenant and building representation. In addition, he has extensive background in sales and investments for both local and national product. An overview of clients and customers represented include AT&T, Goya Foods, Nippon Express, State of New Jersey, Union Camp, Dean Witter, Jacoby & Meyers, First Industrial Realty Trust, Prudential, Verizon and a host of others. With well over 500 successfully completed transactions including multi millions, Josh prides himself on market knowledge, reputation, aggressiveness and an understanding of the the many complexities of Commercial Real Estate transactions. Over a 10-plus year plus time-period, Josh acted as exclusive representative for Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in the New Jersey area completing over 250 transactions worth $100-plus million dollars.
Josh currently oversees the Morris County office for NAI Hanson and is tasked with oversight responsibility for the entire brokerage operations of NAI James Hanson. Having deep knowledge of the local marketplace and an extensive relationship network, josh is a go-to person for many various local and regional companies and persons looking to transact within the State of NJ.
Affiliations and Associations include past president of the NJ chapter of SIOR and IOREBA ( Industrial and Office Brokers Association), In addition, Josh is active both personally and philanthropically in many associations throughout the State on NJ including the YMCA, Home-Corp. MCEDC and a host of others.
